THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A court has issued a notice to Opposition Leader VD Satheesan for his remarks against RSS ideologue M S Golwalkar. The Kannur Principal Munsiff Court issued the notice on a petition filed by RSS Prant Sanghchalak KK Balaram. The court has asked Satheesan to appear on August 12.

V D Satheesan had said that former minister Saji Cheriyan's controversial remarks on the Constitution were from a book penned by Golwalkar. Following this, the RSS sent a legal notice to Satheesan for his statement on Golwalkar. However, Satheesan responded that he was firm on his stand and was ready to face any legal action. Following this, the court sent a notice to Satheesan on the complaint of RSS.
