NEW DELHI: CPI leader Annie Raja has reacted to former Jail DGP R Sreelekha's revelations in actor assault case. She responded that such remarks are tantamount to assaulting the survivor again. Such statements will adversely affect the investigation as the case is at a critical stage. Sreelekha had commented in favor of Dileep before. Saying that the accused is not guilty will affect the credibility of the investigating team, said Annie Raja.

Sreelekha in her YouTube channel said things favouring Dileep in the actor assault case. Sreelekha said the conspiracy case arose as there was no evidence against Dileep in the case and accused the police of fabricating false evidence against the actor in the case.

Sreelekha also revealed that it was not Suni who wrote the letter which was sent to Dileep from jail. The reason why the witnesses turning hostile was because the police investigation was not conducted properly. The phone was given to Suni by the police.

There is no evidence for the meeting of Dileep and Suni. Sreelekha alleged that it was the media that suspected Dileep from the beginning and that there was a lot of pressure from them on the police.

Meanwhile, the prosecution is planning to file a contempt of court action against former jail DGP Sreelekha. The action will be based on the fact that the accused in the case being investigated is innocent. A statement from Sreelekha is also under consideration.
