PATHANAMTHITTA: A couple died after the car in which they were travelling collided with another car in Enathu. The dead have been identified as Rajasekhara Bhattathiri (65) of Madavoor in the capital city and his wife Sobha (63). Their son Nikhil (32) has been admitted at the Kottayam Medical College Hospital in a serious condition.

The accident happened Wednesday morning at 6.30 am. The car carrying Bhattathiri and his family from Thiruvananthapuram collided with the car coming from the opposite direction. Bhattathiri and his wife died on the spot itself.

The four passengers of the other car identified as Anaz (26) of Chadayamangalam, Jithin (26), Ajaz (25) and Ahamed (23) sustained injuries and have been admitted at a private hospital in Pathanamthitta. Their injuries are not serious.
