PALAKKAD: Police have arrested the parents of the minor sexual assault victim in connection with the victim's abduction. The girl was abducted on Tuesday by her parents and the accused in the case. The police later found the girl at a lodge in Guruvayur.

The girl was sexually assaulted in 2021. Following the incident, she had been staying with her grandmother as per the court order. She was abducted when the trial was about to begin on July 16. According to the police, the accused abducted the child to force her to change her statement in their favor.
