LUCKNOW: A man killed his 19-year old daughter by slitting her throat, for a love-affair with a boy from another caste. Manoj Rathore,42, a native of Firozabad, killed his daughter Ruchi Rathore. The girl was found murdered in her bedroom on Friday.

Ruchi was the eldest of Manoj's four children. The girl was in a relationship with Sudhir Kumar for the past one year. But Manoj disapproved the relationship. Despite his objection, Ruchi continued to meet Sudhir.

When Manoj reached home on Wednesday evening, he saw his daughter along with her boyfriend. So he planned the murder. On Thursday midnight, he slit his daughter's throat while she was sleeping. The mother became suspicious when her daughter was not seen even after nine o'clock on Friday. It was then that the accused told his wife that he had killed his daughter. She immediately informed the police.
