NOIDA: Five teenagers were arrested for allegedly kidanapping a school boy and killing him. The incident happened in Bulandshahr district in Uttar Pradesh. 15 and 16-year-old students of Class 10 kidnapped 7-year old boy who attended the same school for ransom and later killed him. The Bulandshahr police informed that the children said that they were inspired by a crime show on television.

On July 9, the boy was kidnapped from school and was taken to Aligarh where he was choked to death using a handkerchief. Then dumped his body into the river. The police had registered an FIR after the father lodged a missing complaint. The body was found from the river during the investigation. Senior Superintendent of Police Shlok Kumar said that a case has been registered against the accused under IPC sections 302 and 201.

One of the accused had lost Rs 40,000 during a financial transaction. When informed about this, his friends suggested to kidnap a child from the school and to demand ransom. They didn't plan earlier to kidnap the child. The child was abducted because he had reached school early and there were not many people at that time.

He was taken to Aligarh because one of the accused had a house there. Later, they panicked thinking that their plan won't work, so they killed the boy and dumped his body into the river. They threw the handkerchief used for murder in the bushes and returned to Bulandshahr. The body of the child was found in a river in Aligarh the next day and identified it as the missing boy from Bulandshahr.

The police said that they found the accused after examining more than 100 CCTV footages and interrogating more than 200 people. At first, they told various stories to mislead the police, but in the end, all five confessed the crime. The accused were produced before the Juvenile Justice Board.
