KOLLAM: More girls came to the fore with the complaint of removing their bars when appearing for the NEET exam. Three more girls lodged complaint with the Kottarakkara DySP. The girls said they had to write the exam after putting their hair to the front and after the exams they were asked to roll them in their hands.

The girls faced the bad experience at the examination centre in Ayoor, Kollam. After asking whether the undergarment has a hook, they asked to remove it. Even when asked to change their undergarments, the girls thought that there would be an enclosed safe room.

However, there was only one table and all the undergarments were piled there. The bra was removed after covering with mother’s shawl. The girls complained that when they came out after writing the exam they entered the class on the suspicion of getting back their undergarment.

Since many of them did not have shawls, removing their bras subjected them to severe mental stress. Entered the class after putting the hair to the front on both sides. They said writing exam along with the boys caused mental difficulties. However, when they came out, saw a heavy rush to take their undergarment and those standing there asked them to roll them in their hands and leave.

Meantime, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan ordered an immediate investigation after the issue stoked a controversy. The minister sought a report from the additional secretary of education. The minister intervened after the MPs from Kerala issued a notice for an adjournment motion.
