THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC President K.Sudhakaran MP said that there was an ulterior political motive behind the arrest of Youth Congress State Vice President K.S.Sabarinathan in the name of the in-flight protest against the Chief Minister.

"There is a mystery surrounding the fact that Sabarinathan was arrested within minutes of being summoned for questioning. The entire incident was scripted by the CM's office. The investigation team has violated the law by ignoring the court's order that the arrest should not be made until the anticipatory bail application is considered. A case should be filed against the police officers and the government lawyer who conspired to mislead the court," Sudhakaran said.

Blow for the government: Oommen Chandy
Former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said that the court's decision to grant bail to Youth Congress Vice President KS Sabrinathan was a heavy blow to the government. "The decision of the court is a shame for the police who have become a weapon of the government. Several incidents have occurred in the recent past where the police were misused by the government. The government cannot destroy the believers of democracy through such actions," he said.

Conspiracy behind Sabarinathan's arrest

"Sabarinadhan was arrested following a conspiracy at the highest level of the government. He has been charged with attempt to murder. He will be protected politically and legally," Satheesan said.
