ALAPPUZHA: Jail Headquarters DIG has lodged a complaint with the District Police Chief alleging that a Sub Inspector misbehaved with his wife. DIG MK Vinod Kumar filed the complaint against Alappuzha North SI Manoj alleging that the latter misbehaved with his wife after stopping her scooter in the name of a vehicle inspection.

In his complaint, Vinod Kumar alleged SI Manoj detained his wife and her female friend while they travelling on a scooter and misbehaved with them. The incident took place at 11.45 am last morning near Gurupuram Junction on the Alappuzha-Thanneermukkam road. According to Vinod Kumar, his wife Haseena was travelling on her scooter to Sahrudaya hospital in Alappuzha when the SI and his team stopped her scooter in the name of vehicle inspection. There were no documents on the vehicle. As per the complaint, when she said that she was the wife of the Jail DIG and that she would produce the documents later, the SI spoke rudely to her. SP's office informed that they are investigating the complaint received via e-mail.
