NEW DELHI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has started grilling Congress president Sonia Gandhi in the National Herald case. She reached the ED office at 12 noon. Her children Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi also accompanied her. As part of strengthening security, the Delhi Police had imposed a curfew inside the AICC headquarters, but many party workers defied this and came to express solidarity for Sonia. A minor scuffle broke out between the police and the activists. Some dramatic scenes were witnessed in front of the AICC headquarters. The police are trying to disperse the activists from there.
The Congress will protest nationwide against the action of ED. Although the ED had issued notice earlier for interrogation, she failed to appear citing health issues. Rahul was questioned for nearly 50 hours in five days. The congress had protested then also.
