We often see politicians and celebrities getting invited for inaugurations. However, have you ever heard of an animal attending an inaugural function? In a unique function, a buffalo was used to inaugurate a bus shelter in the Gadag district in Karnataka. The pictures of the inaugural function are going viral on social media. The unique inauguration was held by the villagers of Balehosur.
The villagers had been requesting the authorities for a bus shelter in the village for a long time. The original bus shelter, which was built nearly 40 years ago, collapsed some years back. With that, people, including students, were forced to wait for the buses in front of shops and other buildings, especially during the rainy season.
Although the authorities promised that they would build a bus shelter in the area, nothing materialised. Eventually, the locals themselves collected a small amount and built a temporary shelter. They then used a buffalo to inaugurate the bus shelter. Meanwhile, Shirahatti BJP MLA Ramappa Lamani said that he was not aware of any such inauguration or complaint.
