MALAPPURAM: One more person has been confirmed with Monkeypox in the state. A Malappuram native, who arrived from the UAE on July 6, has tested positive for the disease. He is currently undergoing treatment in Manjeri hospital. His health condition is reportedly stable.
As of now, three people have been confirmed with Monkeypox in the state. Earlier, two people, natives of Kannur and Kollam, were diagnosed with the disease. According to reports, their health conditions are satisfactory. In the wake of the rising number of Monkeypox cases in the state, the central government has directed to tighten precautionary measures. As per instructions, passengers should be made to undergo strict health checks at airports and seaports.
