KOZHIKODE: Veteran Congress leaders Mullappally Ramachandran and V M Sudheeran will not attend the KPCC Chintan Shivir in Kozhikode, owing to difference of opinion with KPCC president K Sudhakaran.

The Congress’ Nava Sankalp Chintan Shivir has begun on Saturday. The two-day Chintan Shivir is expected to discuss ways to strengthen the organizational system and strategies for the next Lok Sabha polls. In addition to KPCC office bearers, around 200 delegates including, DCC presidents and the officer bearers of subsidiary organizations, will take part in the Chintan Shivir held at Aspin courtyards near Kozhikode beach. The event was inaugurated by AICC general secretary K C Venugopal. Prominent leaders, including Tariq Anwar, AICC general secretary in-charge of Kerala, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh, former opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala and AICC secretary Viswanathan Perumal, will participate in the deliberations.
