LUCKNOW: An eight-month-pregnant woman delivered a baby, minutes after being mowed down by a speeding truck. The tragic incident took place in Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh. The woman died at the spot itself.

The accident took place while the 26-year-old woman and her husband were on their way on a bike. According to reports, the husband lost control while attempting to dodge a speeding car coming from the opposite direction. Following which, the woman fell down and a truck ran over her.

The woman, who sustained severe injuries, delivered a baby girl on the road. The health condition of the baby is satisfactory, said the doctors.

Following the incident, an investigation has been launched to find the truck driver, said the police. CCTV footage from nearby cameras is also being examined, said the police.
