DUBAI: The fuel prices in UAE has hit an all-time high reaching Dh 4.63 per litre. The price hike is due to the surge in global crude prices. However, the fuel prices in UAE are still quite cheaper than over 110 countries.
The super 98 prices have risen from Dh 2.65 per litre at the beginning of the year to Dh 4.63 in July. There has been a price hike of 75 per cent in this year alone.
In UAE, the fuel price deregulation was implemented in August 2015. Following this, the prices had crossed Dh 4 per litre in June.
The crude oil prices have gone up in the international market owing to the Russia-Ukraine war. The prices had crossed 100 per barrel, but fell later due to concerns about a global recession.
