THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that Kerala is likely to get heavy rainfall for the next few days. IMD predicted that isolated places in the state are likely to receive heavy rainfall accompanied by lightning and thunder from today to August 2. A yellow alert has been declared in six districts today.

Yellow alert

• Today(July 28)-Thiruvananthapuram, Idukki, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and districts.
• Tomorrow (July 29)- Wayanad and Kannur
• July 31- Ernakulam, Idukki and Malappuram
• August 1- Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki.
