KOZHIKODE: Wind and rain caused heavy damage in the hilly areas of the state. Flash floods occured at Thumarampara in Erumeli, Kottayam. Thumarampuzha stream continues to overflow. Nearby roads were flooded. Houses were flooded after Koppam stream overflowed. It is suspected that there was a landslide in the forest. The water level is rising in Manimala river. Officials advised people near the banks to be cautious.

There was also heavy flashflood in Arippara of Iruvanji Puzha in Kozhikode. Flash flood occured after the noon time along with the rain. Officials warned people residing in low-lying areas to be vigilant.
