THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Five people, including a two-year-old girl, were killed and one person went missing in the state in rain-related incidents on Tuesday. With this, the death toll has risen to 12 in three days. It has been warned that heavy rain will continue till August 4. Heavy damage was caused in northern districts.

Three people including Numa Taslima, the daughter of Chengannur native Nadeera, died in landslides at two places on Netumpuramchal on Monday evening. The bodies have been found. The other deceased are Rajesh (40) and Mannali Chandran (45), natives of Vellora Colony.
