THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The red alert sounded in seven districts has been withdrawn due to the decrease in the intensity of rains in the state. The red alert in ten districts was lifted and imposed in Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki districts only. Orange alert has been issued in eight districts. Yellow alert is in Kasaragod, Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram.

Orange alert has been issued in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Thrissur, Palakkad, Wayanad, Kannur, Malappuram and Kozhikode. Meantime, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said strict action will be taken against those spreading fake news.

Meantime, red alert has been issued in Kottayam, Idukki, Wayanad and Kannur tomorrow. Orange alert has been sounded in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Kasaragod and yellow alert in Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam.

166 relief camps have been opened in the state following the rains. 4639 people have been relocated.

Most people were relocated in Thrissur. 1299 people have been shifted to 36 camps here. Thiruvananthapuram has 41 people in three camps, Pathanamthitta has 621 people in 33 camps, Alappuzha has 162 in nine camps and Kottayam has 672 in 30 camps.

Seven relief camps were opened in Idukki. 118 people were shifted to camps. 685 people were relocated in 18 camps in Ernakulam. 58 people were relocated in three camps in Palakkad, 77 people in four camps in Malappuram and 343 people in eight camps in Kozhikode. 516 people have been relocated in 13 relief camps opened in Wayanad. 47 people were shifted to two camps in Kannur.
