THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Although KSRTC have no money to pay salaries and to fill diesel, they have money to paint the buses.

69 buses were given a makeover by painting and changing the seats for the special services started in the capital under the name City Circular. This cost a total of Rs 1.25 crore eight months ago. Rs 54.60 lakh was spent on turning 39 Swift buses into the pattern of City circular buses. This much amount is being spent when KSRTC struggles to find money for daily expenses.

When buses can be run by placing the City Circular Board at minimal cost, the question was raised that why so much money is being spent. The management replied that the passengers need to identify the buses. The seats that were shuffled that day are piled up at the Vikas Bhavan depot. Most of them are in useless condition.
