THODUPUZHA: A cleaner was crushed to death when a bus ran over him. The dead has been identified as Jijo Padinjara (40) of Malayinji in Thodupuzha. The tragic incident happened at Ezhanikoottam near Cheenikuzhy in Thodupuzha.

Jijo was cleaner of the bus of Udumbanoor St George School. Jijo got out of the bus when it stopped to carry children at Ezhanikoottam. At this time, the children in the bus rang the bell and it took forward. When he tried to get into the bus, he slipped and fell under the bus. Though seriously injured Jijo was rushed to the hospital, his life could not be saved. His children were also in the bus when the accident happened.
