KOZHIKODE: Author and social activist Civic Chandran has been granted anticipatory bail in the second sexual assault case as well. He was granted bail by the Kozhikode District Sessions Court in a case registered by the Koyilandy police.

A young writer had lodged the complaint alleging that Civic Chandran sexually assaulted her during a poetry camp held at the Koyilandy Nandi beach. The incident in connection with the case took place in February 2020.

Earlier, Civic Chandran had received an anticipatory bail in a sexual assault complaint filed by another writer.
