SRINAGAR: The police have begun efforts to attach the house of the terrorist accused of killing a Kashmiri Pandit in Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir and arrest his family members. A Kashmiri Pandit was shot dead in Shopian on Wednesday. The victim’s brother also sustained bullet wounds. After the investigation, Adil Wani was identified as the killer. Following which, the police began the move to attach the accused’s house and assets.
Meanwhile, numerous parties expressed shock in the frequent attacks against Kashmiri Pandits. The BJP organized a protest in Poonch. Reacting to the incident, Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference chief Sajad Lone said, "Yet another dastardly attack by coward terrorists in Shopian. We strongly condemn this heinous act of violence. My condolences to the family."
Meantime, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief Asaduddin Owaisi said, "The BJP appointed lieutenant governor and administration by Prime Minister Modi are unsuccessful. Kashmiri Pandits are unsafe. Article 370 was removed by telling them that they would be safe. This must be answered by the prime minister, the home minister, and the BJP. All Kashmiri Pandits are living in fear."
