THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala cadre IAS officer and Central Electronics IT Department Secretary Alkesh Kumar Sharma has been elected to the UN's Internet Governance Forum (IGF) Leadership Panel, for a two-year term.

Internet pioneer Vint Cerf and Nobel Prize-winning journalist Maria Reesa were also appointed to the 10-member Internet Governance Forum (IGF) Leadership Panel, Guterres's spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said.
