NEW DELHI: Governor Arif Mohammad Khan said that it is a good thing that the Senate of Kerala University has passed a resolution against the formation of a search committee for the appointment of VC. 'I welcome all criticism wholeheartedly. I like criticism. There should be democratic rights to criticize', said Governor. He also stated that no action will be taken on passing the resolution.
Although the people I nominated signed the resolution, I won't use pressure clause against them. The failure to include the university representative will not stop the proceedings. The university representative can be a part of the proceedings at any time, added Governor.
The Kerala University senate has passed a resolution stating that the search committee constituted by the Governor to select VC is undemocratic and demanded to withdraw the decision. Baburaj, a CPM member, moved the resolution.
