The leader’s resignation comes only days after a similar move by Ghulam Nabi Azad, who resigned from a key post within the party. Anand Sharma is one of the senior most Congress leaders from Himachal Pradesh. Earlier, Ghulam Nabi Azad had resigned from the party’s campaign committee and Jammu and Kashmir political affairs committee, signaling an internal revolt.
