THRISSUR: A woman who was seriously injured in an attack by her husband died while undergoing treatment. Hashitha (25), a native of Thalikulam is the deceased. Hashitha was on rest after delivery and her husband Muhammad Ashif, a native of Kattoor, had come to see her and the baby. Soon Ashif got into a fight with Hashitha and hacked her with a knife.

Ashif also attacked Hashitha's parents Noorudin(50) and Naseema(50) who tried to stop the attack. Noorudin got injured on the head and Hashitha who had cuts all over the body died. The couple had a fight yesterday evening. Police investigation continues to find Ashif. Relatives allege that the attack was pre-planned. They said that Ashif came with a weapon in his bag and that he was a drug-addict.
