THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The weather department has warned that heavy rains are likely to lash all districts in the state. They have informed that there will be rain in the next three hours.

The rains are as part of the strengthening of monsoon after a short gap. There is a warning that there will be heavy rain in isolated places. Yellow alert has been issued in Ernakulam and Idukki tomorrow. Yellow alert has been sounded in Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki day after tomorrow. A yellow alert has been issued in Idukki for the next three days. More rain is likely to lash the hilly areas of Pathanamthitta, Wayanad and Kannur tonight.

As there is a possibility of strong winds and bad weather, fishing has been banned on Kerala-Lakshadweep and Karnataka coasts from August 22 to 24.
