MOSCOW: Russia detained an ISIS suicide bomber who plotted a terrorist attack in India. The Russian Federal Security Service detained him from Turkey.

Russia news agency reported that the bomber, a member of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS, had plotted a terrorist attack against one of India’s leadership elite. Russia informed that the terrorist had admitted that he planned to carry out a terrorist attack in India in retaliation for the blasphemy of the Prophet.

The Russian security agency, the Federal Security Service, arrested ISIS terrorist, a banned organization in Russia. The terrorist from the Central Asian country had planned to commit a terrorist act by blowing himself up against one of the representatives of the ruling circles of India. The detained was recruited by one of the ISIS leaders as a suicide bomber in Turkey.

The central government has declared ISIS as a terrorist organization and listed their activities in the first schedule of the Unlawful Activities Act. According to the Union Home Ministry, ISIS has been using various internet-based social media platforms to spread its ideology. Agencies are closely monitoring cyberspace and taking action as per law.
