PATNA: A number of job-aspiring candidates, who protested against the delay in the recruitment of teachers in schools in Bihar, were beaten up by the Additional District Magistrate and the police on Monday. The incident took place in Patna. A video of Additional District Magistrate KK Singh thrashing a protester has already gone viral on social media. The video shows KK Singh beating up a candidate who was protesting on the ground holding the national flag.
The video also shows the police grabbing the national flag from the youth and dragging him along the ground. The police also used water cannons to disperse the protesters. Expressing displeasure over the incident, the District Magistrate appointed a special committee to conduct a probe regarding the incident. Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav also promised to take action against the culprits.
