THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: After a while, the rains are again intensifying in the state. The Indian Meteorological Department has warned that there is a possibility of heavy rain in various districts of the state from today till Friday (August 26). Yellow alert has been declared in five districts today, which are Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram and Kozhikode districts and in districts of Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki districts tomorrow.

The Met Office has issued yellow alert for Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki districts on Wednesday, for Kottayam and Idukki districts on Thursday and for Idukki district on Friday.
