THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The third round discussion held with the KSRTC employees' unions by the ministers also failed. The minister informed that 12-hour duty will be implemented, it includes 8 hours of steering duty and 4 hours of rest. But as per legal advice received, there is no need to pay extra during rest time.

TDF and BMS informed that they would not agree to the decision to implement 12-hour duty. Meanwhile Transport minister said that CITU has agreed with the decision. But CITU rejected this. TDF started strike in front of Secretariat and alleged that the government is withholding the salaries. It has been decided to continue the discussions.
