THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: K Rail is a much needed project for the future development of the state, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. There is a bit of hesitation when it comes to some special interventions. But at any stage, permission should be given for Silver Line. Even if it is not given now, it will have to be given in future, he said while replying to the adjournment motion in the assembly.


Initially expected to get quick permission for the project. Therefore, other procedures were adopted. Permission was obtained from the Centre to conduct the social impact study. However, unfortunately due to the pressure of some, the Silver Line project was misunderstood by some people. There is no case against any of the opponents. A case was filed against those who tried to create law and order problem. The chief minister stated that the case against those who destroyed property will not be withdrawn.

K Rail project is much needed for the future of our state. Initially there were indications that the central government would give permission for it. But when it comes to some special interactions that everyone knows about, there is a little bit of hesitation but at any stage permission should be given. Even if they don't give now, they will have to give in the future. The chief minister said the government has not abandoned this project. However, the chief minister clarified that the state cannot say that we are doing it now, when those who are supposed to give permission are not ready to give it now.
