In an interesting story about Yesudas, actor Jayaram says that the legendary singer taught his parrot to speak years ago. Jayaram made this revelation to Yesudas himself. Jayaram said this in a discussion related to the online music class under the leadership of Tharangini, Yesudas' music school.

Jayaram's words-

23 years ago when I first constructed a house in Madras, I called Dasettan (Yesudas). I told him that if Dasettan could come to his house, I couldn't be happier. Dasettan and chechi said they will definitely come. They came and as chechi was looking around the house, Dasettan is nowhere to be seen. From somewhere I heard a voice. Dasettan is teaching my parrot. I swear on my profession, that bird went on to speak twenty-five words later. It was a surprise to everyone who visited my home.
