PATHANAMTHITTA: Another accident in the state after falling into a pothole on the road. The accident happened on Kumbaza state highway near Pathanamthitta Jail. The bus ran over the leg of Athira, a scooter passenger who had fallen into a pothole on the road. Athira, a native of Kumbaza, is an employee of a private supermarket.

Athira's who was going for work in the morning fell into a pothole on the road when she reached near the jail. Soon a bus coming from the opposite side hit her scooter and she sustained serious injuries. She was initially admitted to a private hospital in Pathanamthitta but later shifted to a private hospital in Kottayam for surgery.
