THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The second round of talks held between the cabinet sub-committee and the agitators to resolve the fishermen's strike against Vizhinjam port construction has also failed. The government informed the protesters that it cannot stop the construction of the port. Following this, the convener of the Samara Samithi and priests informed that the strike will continue.
The leadership of the Church said that the ministers informed them that the response of the Chief Minister the other day was not premeditated. The ministers requested the Samara Samithi to understand the special situation of the emergency resolution. There was no discussion about kerosene. Discussions will continue. The Samara Samithi also stated that they hope to hold a discussion with the Chief Minister.
