THRISSUR: Some crucial information has surfaced in the Keezhoor Rugmini murder case. A new information has surfaced now that Indulekha, accused in the case, had tried to kill her parents two months ago.

She had bought two strips of dolo and gave some from it to her parents. The strip with the remaining tablet was found while collecting evidence. Indulekha bought the rat poison which she used to kill her mother from a shop in Kunnamkulam.

Rugmini died last Monday. The presence of rat poison was found in her body during an examination. The accused confessed to having killed her mother to get the property which she was to get only after her parents death. She committed the heinous crime to get the 14 cents of land and a house. She had a financial liability of Rs 8 lakh. She murdered her mother by mixing rat poison in her tea.
