NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal on Thursday called a meeting following the revelation that BJP had promised money to AAP MLAs. The party informed that 53 MLAs participated in this meeting. The Aam Aadmi Party also stated that only MLAs who are not in the state did not attend the meeting. Arvind Kejriwal had called a meeting of MLAs at eleven o'clock. Meanwhile, there were reports that the MLAs could not be contacted over the phone.

After the CBI and ED tightened their noose around Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in connection with the liquor policy, AAP came forward with the allegation that the BJP is trying to lure the MLAs. Senior AAP leaders disclosed that the BJP had promised the MLAs that they would give 20 crores if they joined the BJP and 25 crores if they brought others with them. At the same time, BJP's response was that AAP's allegation is to divert from the question people are asking about the corruption in the liquor policy. Meanwhile, AAP decided to hold a meeting at Kejriwal's house today.

Senior leaders had said the other day that the BJP had promised money to 40 Aadmi MLAs. The Aam Aadmi Party also accused the BJP of trying to follow the example of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Karnataka states. AAP has 62 MLAs in the 70-member Delhi Assembly. BJP has eight MLAs. Manish Sisodia had alleged that it was promised that the cases against him will be dropped and he will be made the chief ministerial candidate if joins the BJP.
