THRISSUR: Police have found more evidence against Kunnamkulam native Indulekha who murdered her own mother to steal her property. Police said that upon examining Indulekha's Google search history, they found that she had searched about rat poison on Google.

According to police, Indulekha had tried to kill her parents two months ago. She had bought twenty Dolo tablets. She gave some of these tablets to her parents. The police found the remaining pill packet while collecting evidence. The accused did not initially reveal any of these during interrogation. Upon checking Indulekha's phone, police found that she had searched about rat poison on google. This turned out to be crucial in the case. The accused confessed to the crime when the police pointed this out. The police have found the vessel in which Indulekha gave rat poison to her mother. The investigating officials also collected evidence from the shop from where the accused bought poison. Indulekha had also tried to kill her father Chandran. Although she added insecticide to her father's tea, he did not drink it because of the difference in taste.

Indulekha poisoned her mother on August 17. She had taken her mother to a private hospital in Kunnamkulam saying that she was sick. Rukmini died last Monday. Following a suspicion on her unnatural death, the doctors conducted an examination and found poison in her body.

The hospital authorities then informed the police. It was confirmed that Indulekha had poisoned her mother when questioned the inmates of the house.

Indulekha had a financial liability of lakhs. Her plan was to possess the land and sell it to clear her debts. She had fought with her mother over this earlier.
