THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Heavy rain will continue in the state today. Isolated heavy rain has been predicted. Yellow alert has been issued in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki and Malappuram.
The Central Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of rain at isolated places in all the districts of Kerala in the next three hours. Yellow alert has been issued in Kottayam and Idukki tomorrow and the day after.
There is a possibility of strong wind to blow at a speed of 40 to 50 kmph and bad weather conditions over Kerala and Lakshadweep coasts. The Central Meteorological Department has advised fishermen not to venture into the sea.
Meantime, rains have eased slightly over North Kerala today. There was heavy downpour in many areas yesterday. The water level in Bavali River has risen. Many people were relocated in Malappuram the other day.
