Kadugannava Oru Yathra Kurippu, directed by Ranjith for an anthology is based on the short stories of M T Vasudevan Nair. A major location of the film is Sri Lanka.
Mammootty plays the role of P K Venugopal. The subject of the film is a veteran journalist's recollection of a girl believed to be his father's daughter from another relationship while working in Sri Lanka. Mammootty and Ranjith are coming together after Puthanpanam.
Cinematographer Sujith Vasudev is describing the shooting experience in Sri Lanka along with Mammootty. ‘The days in Sri Lanka were really eventful for me. Mammukka was cool even amidst a lot of work pressure. The experience with Mammukka, Shankar Ramakrishnan and art director Prashant Madhav was awesome,’ Sujith Vasudev wrote on Instagram along with pictures.
