KOLLAM: A re-examination will be conducted for girls who suffered humiliating experience and were asked to remove their innerwear before appearing for NEET exam. The parents informed that they have received a notification from the National Testing Agency about conducting the re-examination.

The National Testing Agency has informed that the exam will be held on September 4. The girls who appeared for the NEET exam at Mar Thoma College of Science & Technology, Ayur were insulted during the the physical examination. Only girls who have appeared in this center are allowed to retake the exam.

During the scanning before being admitted to the examination hall, the girls were given the strange excuse of having metal hooks in their innerwears and were asked to remove it. As the incident became a huge controversy, the issue was even raised and protested in the Parliament.

After the incident became controversial, the National Testing Agency appointed a commission of inquiry. The commission also recorded the statements of the students. They demanded to conduct a re-exam as they were unable to write the exam well.
