THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police confirmed that a six-member gang arrived on three bikes pelted stones at CPM district committee office. After examining the CCTV footage of the district committee office and nearby shops, it was confirmed that a six-member gang was behind the attack.

CPM district committee office in Thiruvananthapuram was attacked at around 2 am today. The gang arrived on three bikes and started pelting stones. District Secretary Anavoor Nagappan's car parked in front of the office was damaged in the attack.

The stone fell on the bonnet of the car. A piece of stone was found near the car. The district secretary was in the office when the incident took place. Two police officers who were on duty tried to catch the attackers, but they escaped.

Meanwhile, this incident has become the next headache for the police, who have not yet been able to catch the accused in the AKG Centre attack. AKG Centre was attacked on June 30 at night. A person who came on a scooter hurled explosives at the AKG Centre.
