THRISSUR: Indulekha, who killed her mother Rukmini with rat poison in tea to acquire property, was entangled by two questions asked by the doctor and the police. The doctor asked Rukmani, who was admitted to a private hospital in Thrissur, why she had taken poison. But Rukmini replied that she had not taken poison.
The next question was to Indulekha. Indulekha's attempt to establish that it was jaundice and food poisoning failed when trace of poison was discovered. Then the hospital authorities informed the police. Later, postmortem confirmed poison ingestion. Another question that puzzled Indulekha was the police's query as to why she searched for poison on Google. The search history on Indulekha's phone was proof. Indulekha, who at first answered without flinching, stumbled in front of these questions. Then Indulekha, who had no choice, confessed to the crime. Indulekha poisoned her mother after picking up her husband from the airport on the 17th. Before that fever pills were mixed with curries and given to parents. The goal was to kill them slowly. The aim was to kill Rukmini first and then her father Chandran, take over the house and 14 cents of land and settle the liability of eight lakhs without her husband's knowledge.
The police also got information that the murder had been planned months before. Police will take Indulekha into custody and question her again. The police said that further investigation will clarify how the liability of eight lakhs came without the knowledge of the family members.
