KOCHI: The CPI has strongly criticized the state government on K-Rail and Lokayukta issues. The criticism was raised in the working report presented by District Secretary P Raju in the representative meeting of the Ernakulam district conference of the party. The presentation of the report came soon after CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran, who inaugurated the representative conference, left after giving a speech on the necessity of CPM-CPI unity.
There is also an indirect criticism that the humility and simplicity that should be present in communists have gone missing in some leaders. The second LDF government is not getting the acceptance that the first government got. The report also pointed out that immediate intervention is required to resolve the shortcomings. Ministerial work also needs to be improved.
Arrogance in K-Rail issue
The government did not take the people into confidence in K-Rail. The method adopted for the project and the arrogant approach did not suit the Left government, the working report stated.
The report also pointed out that the Lokayukta amendment ordinance cast a shadow of doubt on the people.
