BATHERY: Heavy rain wreaked havoc in the state again. After landslides and flash floods occurred in Vellara Colony in Kannur district, flash floods also occurred in Bathery, Wayanad. The incident happened in Malavayal near Ambukuthi mala. Due to overflow in ditch, the water flowed into the residential area. Some houses were flooded. This is the place next to the field. Families have been evacuated from the area as the rain continues.
Earlier there was severe flash floods on Mananthavady pass road and Nedumpoil pass road. Police informed that people are being evacuated from here.
It is indicated that there was a strong landslide in the forest near Elapeedika.
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that rain will continue in the state for the next few days. According to this, an orange alert has been issued in Idukki district today. Along with this, yellow alert continues in 7 districts today. Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad and Malappuram districts are on yellow alert.
