THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state government has decided to conduct a direct inspection in addition to the satellite survey for data collection in buffer zone areas. The decision was taken in a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
The details of figures obtained through the technology system will be confirmed by direct inspection. The meeting also decided to form an expert committee to study these matters and submit a report to the Supreme Court. The committee will submit an interim report within one month and a final report within three months. The expert committee will examine the data prepared through the satellite system and the departmental data.
As requested by the Supreme Court, the state has completed the census of buildings and construction activities in the buffer zone through a satellite system with the help of technology. The state has filed a review petition. It will demand a speedy hearing in an open court.
