CHERTHALA: Secretary Vellappally Natesan presented a budget of Rs 141,49,11,000 for the year 2022-23 of SN Trust with priority given to health and education sectors. A sum of Rs 45 crore has been allotted for hospitals and Rs 12 crore for construction and maintenance of new buildings in aided educational institutions. In addition, Rs 10 crore has been set aside for modernization of hospitals.

Around Rs 7 crore has been allocated for construction of new buildings for aided colleges and Rs 3 crores for self-financing arts and science colleges. Another Rs 2 crore has been kept aside for other developmental activities in aided colleges and Rs 1 crore for central schools. The 69th annual general meeting, which was held at the auditorium of Cherthala Sree Narayana Guru College, was chaired by chairman Dr M N Soman. Vellappally Natesan presented the estimates and the report. Abdul Rahim and Company has been decided as the auditor. Treasurer Dr G Jayadevan and legal advisor A N Rajan Babu felicitated the occasion and assistant secretary Tushar Vellappally proposed the vote of thanks.
