OYOOR: Gold of six sovereigns has been lost from Canara Bank’s locker in Pooyappally. A packet containing the gold ornaments was lost from the locker of Thaha of Oyoor Vattappara. Bank manager Sajeev noticed the locker opened when he was explaining the functioning of the locker to another client. He soon informed the owner of the locker and when examined found gold of six sovereigns including two bangles, studs etc. lost. He lodged a complaint at the Pooyappally police.

Fingerprint experts reached the spot and collected evidence. Thaha last opened the locker on August 23rd. However, the initial conclusion of the police is that the locker may not have locked properly after the last opening. The police have registered a case and an investigation has started.
