KANNUR: A complaint has been lodged with the police that a native of Tamil Nadu was gang-raped by drugging her in juice. The incident took place last Saturday. The complaint is that she was sexually abused after being promised a job. The police have registered a case in the incident.

A complaint has been filed against Vijesh (28), a native of Kanhangad, Malar (26), a native of Tamil Nadu, and a known person. Malar is the relative of the victim's husband. The woman reached Kannur on August 23. She stayed at Malar's house. On Saturday night, Malar took the woman to another house saying that he was moving. The complainant alleges that Vijesh and another native of Tamil Nadu abused her by giving her drugs mixed in a juice.
